He completes me

Oh my freaking business. I miss him so much! Pathetic I know, but he's my little best friend!

UGHHH! WHY?!

Yet again... I am amazed by my ability to tollerate people. All I can say is "Bless your heart" when really I'm thinking "Get away from me and go get some freaking BRAINS!"

Ok, I feel a little better now. I've been hanging out in Starbucks for the last four and a half hours now trying to write a paper and I have seen...

-The same homeless woman three times, asking me what I'm writing about (The same thing I told you one hour ago...)
-One Nun standing in line behind three thugs, how took off their hats and nodded respectfully when they passed her... how touching.
-Seven computers out all at the same time
-A Bible study group
-Three interviews
-One business meeting
-One coffee-needing mother with twin boys
-Two fathers with a baby each on a coffee date while their wives worked
-One dad with a pink baby stroller and a pink backpack
-One TINY white schnauzer puppy that looked JUST like a baby Pippin. She licked me, it was TOO cute!

I've spent enough time in here today that I can't even smell the coffee in the air anymore which is a bad sign, because then that means I'm going to smell like it when I leave here. Ok, food time then off to work!

Photo Thoughts

I love watercolor

I can't decide what I love best... the photo or this guys outrageous shorts

"Don't pat that cop gently on the face..."

I love trailing ivy. I want a whole house covered in it!

I love this song
So cute!

Titled "Don't Go to Heaven Alone"
I feel like they look like Marylin M. and Jesse J.

Last Day of Freedom

Today was my last day before I start training. My last day of innocence.

Tomorrow I head over to Disney California Adventures (DCA) to be trained in the art of 3D movies and clothed in some horrendous costume. I don't know what it is yet. Should be epic. I believe there's a lab coat involved in one of them.

But today was great. I made a quick run to Walmart to pick up some sexy black socks (that was sarcasm...) and stand in the media section to watch the last half hour of Despicable Me. Yes. I did. For a half hour.

Afterwards, I rediscovered how Super Mario makes me anxious, especially when you have to be the lame Luigi. Poor man's a failure. The second brother and yet he's the tallest. So awkward.

Afterwards I went for a run while watching some horribly depressing show on MTV about a girl trying to become a plus-sized model and going to fat camp... Well at least it was motivation.

And then homework... The internet in my building is not homework-friendly so I went to the Starbucks around the corner. It was nice. I loved the music they had playing and the atmosphere really helped me focus. But it was hard to sit there and not get a drink. I'm trying some self-control here.

But work starts tomorrow afternoon and I've still got homework to do. So I'm going to bed early to get up early to be effective.

Wish me luck!

They don't make men like these anymore...

What a shame...

Drum roll please!!!!

Announcement!! The location where I will be working has finally been revealed to me! And it is my pleasure to now unveil it to you!

But you have to guess first... here's some clues...

1- it's two different locations

2- One includes some wacky felt-skinned characters, and the others very very small

3- One requires saftey goggles, and the other requires magnification glasses to see the cast of the show.

4- One costume requires a lab coat, and the other requires bug-spray (ok, but not really)

Do you get it?!

It's Muppet's 3D

Photo Thoughts

This man is a FOX

I had an experience like this while scuba diving in Phuket, Thailand. My brother and I went and were completely surrounded by a school of small Barracuda. It was gorgeous, like a shimmering wall surrounding you.

I would love to have a garden like this when I'm rich and famous, but I hate gardening so I would have to hire people to do it for me.
HA!

Even celebrities have photo-bombs!

Story of my life!!

It's been a while

I feel a Harry-Potter-esque thing happening here

I thoroughly love men in straight legged slacks

I have been sorely negligent

This past week has been extremely busy.

1- There's school... I've really been sweating to catch up

2- In case you didn't realize it, I live less than 5 mins away from the happiest place on Earth and I have free entry. That sort of thing just cannot be forgotten.

3- Orientation has been taking up a lot of my time and energy so I've been having to go to bed at really early hours.

Needless to say, Disney has taken over my life! But I've made some totally fun friends, and I'm still trying to get to know more people. Also I just got even MORE roommates, so there's three of us in my room and I am on the bottom of our bunk bed. Have I ever mentioned how much I really hate bunk beds? They always feel unsafe to me.

Anyways, it's gonna take a while before I can finally get into the routine of work-school-Disney-etc. But once I do, the blogging with recommence!

Disneyland Update

Hi guys.

I'm so tired.

And I really shouldn't be blogging now because I've got WAY too much homework to catch up on and I have to get up early. But I needed an explanation for my absence.

I'm moved in now! I've met both of my roommates and we might be getting a new one next week. Sherine is my roommate. She's from Shri Lanka and she's awesome. Then Kristy is from Utah (but she goes to UVU so if you know anything about the UVU dances that their famous for, then you know about Kristy). But she seems like a total sweetheart even though I've only seen her twice for short intervals and I'm pretty sure she's scared of me haha.

I'm kind of stressin' out. I've got a lot of homework that I need to catch up on. This move has really knocked me back a considerable amount. All the while I am trying to meet new people and actually make friends. I'm also way behind on my letters to Jamaica and Idaho Falls. I need to catch up.

Tomorrow is the legit start of the Disneyland college program. I'm going to get my fingerprints taken and some knowledge and quick info crammed into my head at orientation tomorrow. It should be interesting. This Toto is definitely not in Kansas any more. And everything is much different than in WDW so I feel like a lost sheep just like the rest of them.

My shower doesn't have hot water. And I went to the party where I was ferociously trying to get others to dance. Whenever I went to get a drink, they would all fizzle out until I got them all back on the dance floor. So needless to say, I'm sore and ready for a shower.

But now I've got to force myself to go get some homework done before I go to bed.

Good night loves

Only because we are that much focused

I feel like this sums up the entireness of the trip.

Kristi, I miss you already. Thanks for being excited about going to Disneyland and for being the kind of friend that can sit in comfortable silence for hours in the car and thanks for never stealing the covers on the nights we had to have slumber parties in uncomfortable fold-out mattresses.

I Need

That's right... it's a Tron Audi. I don't really have a preferance for cars *Except I love my little friend the bright yellow ford escape* but the fact that Audi correlated with Disney to make a TRON vehicle is flat out BOMB!

Exodus Update!!

I AM HERE!!!

Kristi and I have travelled through three states in three days! We are now on part two of our journey. The journey has been long and filled with stretchy pants and great music. So far we have seen...

-three states
-one yellow car
-five storks
-two flat butts
-one man chasing a runaway lottery ticket
-fifteen cop cars only after the California state line

We had a delicious meal at the Olive Garden and now we're going to soak it up in the hot tub and tuck in. But tomorrow we head out to my cousin's place and a day trip to Disneyland the next day! We are SO excited!!

Random Thoughts

Every time I see a mountain I hear Gandalf shout "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

High-wasted yoga pants are always a hit

Kristi is an awesome Road-trip-DJ

Mark's texts are always funny and informative

It's much more fun to call something an "Adventure"

My children will never play T-Ball

I am going to nickname my son "Tito"

When in doubt, choose Michael Jackson

Photo Thoughts

This is why my friends are cooler than yours... we have a sign through which we share via skype

This was just awesome... I SO love Star Wars

Eskimo Kisses

This is me and my nephew Luke. He is the most adorable baby-man ever. I would be so fortunate if my little bugs could turn out as cute as him!

The Exodus begins

That's right...

Tomorrow is the start of my adventure to sunny California. In a week, I will be visiting two coasts, and four states. Pretty crazy....

I'm still in NYC but I'm flying out tomorrow where I head back to the frozen wasteland of Idaho and back to the motherland of Seattle. SO EXCITED!

From there it's a roadtrip with the awesome Miss Tabitha to Oregon and then California....

I'm exhausted already. Now off to pack.

Warning-- there may not be many posts to follow for a few days... you have been warned. Sorry!!

This kid is brilliant. I demand for all my kids to be this cool

This is hilarious!

Hello 2011, you sexy thing...

Happy New Year!!

This New Years Eve was great. There was good snacks, cute babies, and a great game of Dominoes (I am not a sore loser). Before and after the clock, we checked out Time's Square. Before, it was so crowded that they closed the block before 7 o'clock. Although because of the "shows" or crappy music that they had picked out live for the new year, they blocked off most of the square to fit a stage and a minimal amount of people. After, we went down and the place was a mess. Drunks everywhere, a satisfying amount of men in uniforms, tons of teetering six-inch heeled girls in mini-dresses freezing their bums off, and the square was still blocked off well after 2, so that was kind of lame. But we got to see it from a distant.

This year really kind of sucked for me. I had a lot of stuff going on, but even though this is my personal blog, I still don't believe in airing my dirty laundry and stupid complaints to plethora of others, so instead I'm just going to say that this year needed to end. But it ended in a much better way that I had figured. I've made fantastic friends. Friends who listen, friends who encourage me to write, friends who bring more music into my life and friends that will come to Disneyland to see me! Haha. I've also gotten to a path in school where I know where I'm going and I'm enjoying it. And I've got my dream job! I'm going to work at the place I've always dreamed of. What better place to have a new start than in Disneyland!

But here's the new resolutions that I plan on making:

Write more (Journaling and letters)
Keep up my Scuba certification
Keep running until I get my 10-minute mile
Downsize all my stuff (I'm tired of packing so much when I don't need half of it)
Shoot more (Cameras not guns!)

Fghouhdsakfhgaleyr...

UGH! This is so cute it literally is like a sugar attack in my throat!!

Just for fun

Forget giving these to children!! I want them!!

Hahaha, I do love well dressed men, although I do look forward to the chance to dress my own man ;D

I need this... found it on Etsy... I don't have a home to put it in, but I think it might be a good investment?

Bahahaha!!! This is awesome!!

Photography Loves

I love the use of lighting here and plus Marilyn is a babe, she looks beautiful in these photos

This is adorable. I'm going to use this. DIBS!

Ok, I'm randomly obsessed with two things in this photo... the symmetry of the guys standing and the fact that it's my favorite three hobbits (this was at Billy Boyd's wedding... so cute!)

I love the casual look and I actually prefer it when you don't look at the camera, I personally hate it

The long exposure of this photo is what causes the blur in the water. It's so crisp and smooth at the same time, gorgeous.

Hallmark Christmas 2.0

Happy Late Christmas!!

One of the great things about having family all over the place is the fact that you get to have more than one Christmas. So that means that the present opening-fun goes on for much longer!! Haha and the present giving as well. But this year was great. I tried to give every one in my family something that was made especially for them, like some stationary I designed for my sisters or an ink print of C3PO and R2D2 or a screen printed onesie for the newest member of the family, etc. It was fun and for the most part I was successful but I did cheat a little bit when I found lightsaber chopsticks for my brother.

But in the end it was a fantastic Christmas. I lounged in DC with my Dad and his wife and then I came to NYC to party with my Mother and Brother's clan. We've been shopping till we drop and kicking my butt at dominoes. But it was a good haul. Here's a sampling of the great gifts my family gave. (Not all since I got so much great stuff from many generous loved ones but these were just the ones I found photos of)
THE CANON 5D MARK II!!! I'm still in shock
This awesome collection of Beatles guitar (or ukulele) picks! There's 15 and each one has an album cover on it or an illustration thats popular. I think I'm going to frame them so I can have it next to my "Meet the Beatles" Album cover that I got framed

My sister and I have this running joke about Pepe the King Prawn. So I have no idea how she was able to find this but it was a good laugh

Vinyl!!

More Vinyl!! And I just love the illustrations of this one. So cute. So Disney.

This awesome Tin Cup that my mother found for me. I was so excited to see it!

Ok, so I actually got these for myself, but you always give yourself the best gifts!! These are noise-silencing earphones by UrbanEars. They're made for iPhones and iPods, so there's a volume adjuster as well as a speaker and button to answer calls or change the tracks. Plus it's bright red which is my favorite color!!

And of couse more vinyls... I also got a couple of other cool old ones that I'm excited to listen to on my magnavox when I get settled in California!!
Real men drink tea

*Grrrrrrowl*
